TV4 postpones The Challenge until 2027 after technical failure erases edited material | Sweden Herald

The newspaper reports that the final season of the program was deleted by an AI agent, resulting in the loss of several hundred days of work. TV4 cannot confirm this information. “What we have heard from the production is that there has been a technical failure that caused edited material to disappear, meaning it has to be edited again. We therefore need to postpone the premiere until 2027,” Ludvig Ternstedt, TV4 press officer for "The Challenge," tells Aftonbladet. In "The Challenge," famous reality TV contestants compete in tough challenges. The first season aired on TV4 in 2024. Program host Ahmed Berhan comments on the news in Aftonbladet. “Is that true?! I knew AI would be the death of me. This is just the beginning,” he says.
